Dancing Bees Farm produces pure natural honey and honey products. Jeff has been a Master Beekeeper since 2001 and has over 20 years of bee experience! We both are active members of Altan Evangelical Presbyterian Church and have a menagerie rescued pets, including BoBo, our pot belly pig! Robin works 2 days a week outside the bee farm as a corporate sales rep for The Crystal Shoppe and works with local companies, non-profits, and universities in providing crystal recognition awards.
We both love nature, the outdoors, and working on our dream together, of owning a small farm business dedicated to preserving the importance of the honeybee! After lots of prayer, we felt that God was leading us in this direction together and we have never looked back! It involves a lot of work, but gives us both a lot of joy to pursue this passion called ‘beekeeping’!
We named our business “Dancing Bees” as honeybees perform various “dances” to communicate to other bees such things as where the best pollen/nectar sources are as well as directions to these sources! They do this all in a “waggle dance” designed to help the other bees make a “beeline” to the best pollen/nectar sources very efficiently.
Our 33 acre farm has many sources of plant life for our bees to visit for our wildflower honey, including many Tulip Poplar trees, wild buttercups, and sweet clover. We think this gives our honey a very distinctive taste that our customers say takes them back to their childhood.! Many customers tell us it really helps their allergies as well!
In addition to our regular honey, we have whipped spreadable honey in a variety of frut and nut flavors, beeswax lip balm, moisturizing lotion cups, nut -n- honey toppings, raw beeswax, crystallized honey bath scrubs, and a variety of hand-made beeswax candles! Don’t forget gift baskets for all occasions too!
We offer group tours of our honey farm with a minimum of 8 people. Inquire via email: firstname.lastname@example.org
